York woman accused of trying to fight woman holding small child
A 21-year-old York woman was arrested this week after police say she was caught on video attempting to fight a woman holding a small child.
York police were called to a home on Pecan Circle after the two women got into a confrontation in the parking lot. The suspect reportedly confronted the 27-year-old woman carrying the child over an earlier disagreement, and told her, “I beat your (expletive) even with you holding that kid.”
While officers were at the scene speaking to the woman who was threatened, the suspect returned to the parking lot. One officer questioned her about the incident while another reviewed the apartments’ security footage.
The suspect reportedly told police she went to the woman’s house and stood in the parking lot calling on her to fight. On video, the woman can be seen “making hand gestures that appeared to be consistent with challenging someone,” according to the incident report.
The officer also spoke to a witness to the incident, who reported that the combative suspect “offered to beat (the woman) even with the child in her arms.”
The woman was arrested for public disorderly conduct and taken to the York police department. The report notes a condition of her bond is that she have no contact with the woman she reportedly threatened.
