Woman reports $10K diamond ring stolen in Chester Co. I-77 gas station robbery
A Myrtle Beach woman reported to police late Wednesday night that an assailant stole her engagement ring and other items after ramming her trailer while she was parked behind a gas station near Interstate 77 in rural Chester County.
The woman, 54, said after her trailer was rammed by the person in the other vehicle, the suspect slammed her head against the trailer and took the ring, other jewelry, and $65 in cash, according to a report from the Chester County Sheriff’s Office.
The woman told police the assailant then fled.
The engagement ring with 11 diamonds is valued at $10,000.
Damage to the trailer was estimated at $5,000. Detectives are investigating but an arrest has not been made.
