Deputies: Fort Lawn man caught having sex with 12-year-old girl
A Fort Lawn man was arrested after he was caught having sex with a 12-year-old girl, according to the Chester County Sheriff’s Office.
Michael Thomas, 18, of Catawba River Road in Fort Lawn, was charged with criminal sexual conduct with a minor and placed in the Chester County jail, where he remained Thursday without bond.
Deputies on Sunday spoke with a woman who said she caught Thomas and a 12-year-old girl “with their clothes off having sex,” according to a sheriff’s report. The woman said they stopped when they saw her, and she notified the girl’s mother.
Thomas has no prior criminal record in South Carolina, according to the State Law Enforcement Division.
