SC man charged with touching York County teen inappropriately
A Blacksburg man is accused of repeatedly touching a young girl inappropriately, according to the York County Sheriff’s Office.
Claude Eugene Rentz, 51, of Zoar Church Road in Blacksburg, was charged with criminal sexual conduct with a minor and placed in the York County detention center. He was released Friday after posting a $25,000 bond.
The 14-year-old girl’s mother told deputies Rentz had touched her daughter inappropriately “on a number of occasions” while she was riding in the car with him, according to a sheriff’s report.
