York woman finds Christmas tin filled with pot on porch addressed to long-dead father

A York woman received a shocking surprise when she arrived home Thursday afternoon to find a Christmas cookie tin filled with marijuana in a box addressed to her father – who has been dead for six years.

The woman immediately called police after finding the box on the porch of her Center Street home with the tin inside, according to a York Police Department report.

York officers called in the York County Multijurisdictional Drug Enforcement Unit.

Drug agents examined the box and tin filled with drugs but told the woman nothing could be done other than to document the drugs as contraband and destroy them.
