Police were on routine patrol Friday when they heard a loud bang and screaming coming from the Crazy Horse strip club on Cherry Road.

Officers found a large crowd in the parking lot, where witnesses say a man in a Ford Taurus hit two vehicles and then dragged another man before fleeing the scene, according to a Rock Hill police report.

The 37-year-old victim said he was in the parking lot when the Taurus driver made several racial slurs toward him. The victim confronted the driver, who put the vehicle in gear and then dragged him before driving away, the report states.

Police noted the victim had injuries consistent with being dragged.

Officers identified the Taurus driver as Charles Walshaw, 23, of Rock Hill. They found his car in the 1200 block of Constitution Boulevard.

Walshaw was arrested and charged with assault and battery of a high and aggravated nature and two counts of leaving the scene of an accident, a report states. He was released after posting a $10,200 bond on Saturday.
