Guns, Jordan shoes, $10 Holy Bible taken during Charlotte Nelly concert break-ins
Thieves stole pricey guns, $350 Jordan shoes and a $10 Holy Bible from cars in the parking lot during the Nelly and Ja Rule concert in Charlotte Sunday night, police reports show.
Concert-goers from as far away as North Myrtle Beach and Greenville, South Carolina, reported valuables stolen from their vehicles during the rap performances at PNC Music Pavilion in University City, according to the police reports.
Purses and wallets with debit cards and cash were taken, according to the reports. In some cases, windows were smashed to access valuables.
Stolen loot included two $500 guns and an $800 firearm, the reports show.
A dozen victims reported $400 damage to their vehicles. Another listed $500 in damages and still another victim, $359 in damages.
Through a public records request, The Charlotte Observer received 30 concert-goer reports filed with the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department.
No arrests were reported.
