NC man charged with human trafficking, sex crimes with minor in Rock Hill

A North Carolina man faces human trafficking and sex crimes charges involving a minor in Rock Hill, according to police and jail records.

Yasser Abdouh Mohammed Alssiady, 50, of Fayetteville, remains in the York County jail after a judge denied bail in a South Carolina court hearing over the weekend, records show.

An investigation by the Rock Hill Police Department detectives that started in late October showed the 16-year-old victim met Alssiady when asking for a job at a business on Herlong Avenue, Lt. Michael Chavis said.

Alssiady enticed and recruited the victim into sex, according to a statement from the department. Police say Alssiady gave the victim money, a rental car and other transportation as payment for sex acts, the statement said.

He faces charges of trafficking in persons and first-degree criminal sexual conduct.
