A Chester County man was jailed Monday on attempted murder and other charges after a morning stabbing, police said.

Anthony Reshun Jennings, 26, is in custody at the Chester County Detention Center after an incident with a female victim, said Chief Deputy Robert Sprouse, spokesman for the Chester County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies charged Jennings with attempted murder and burglary after he allegedly stabbed the woman, 40, several times in the back just before 5 a.m. on Flint Street in Chester, according to a police report and arrest warrants.

The knife broke off in the back of the woman, reports stated, and she was later airlifted to Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte after complaining of not being able to feel her leg and back.

Jennings is being held without bond.
