Man arrested after disturbance at Rock Hill bowling alley
A man was jailed after causing a disturbance at a Rock Hill bowling alley, during which he tried to grab an officer’s Taser and was combative with officers who tried to arrest him, according to Rock Hill Police.
Jonathan Ansari, 24, was “already intoxicated” and bothering patrons at Revolutions late Saturday, according to a police report. He repeatedly made physical contact with a Rock Hill Police officer, accused other officers of “habitually killing innocent people” and tried to reach for the officer’s Taser.
The officer told Ansari to calm down, and about 40 minutes later Ansari was heard getting disorderly with the manager, who asked him repeatedly to leave, police said. Ansar was cussing out loud and got in the face of a security guard, and after being ordered by police to leave the business shouted an obscenity and said, “I have been to jail before.”
Ansari put his hands in the air and resisted when the officer tried to arrest him, police said. The security guard “failed to render aid” to the officer, who took Ansar to the ground himself, the report states.
EMS was called to help Ansari, who hit his head on the ground, the report states. He cussed, spit and pulled away when paramedics tried to render First Aid, and was taken to the Rock Hill city jail after refusing medical treatment.
Ansari was charged with trespassing, public disorderly conduct and resisting police, according to the report. He was released from jail Saturday under $2,000 bond.
