Janitor finds 22 grams of crack in York County probation office
More than 20 grams of crack cocaine was destroyed after a janitor found it wrapped in a napkin in the lobby of the York County probation office, according to the York County Sheriff’s Office.
The janitor was cleaning the lobby of the office on Justice Boulevard just after midnight Saturday when she found a brown napkin stuffed between a chair leg and the wall, according to a sheriff’s report. She unwrapped the napkin and found a substance that looked like crack and called authorities.
Deputies took possession of the substance, which tested positive for crack and measured about 22.5 grams. It was submitted to evidence to be destroyed.
