Rock Hill man reports guns, money stolen after he had prostitute at house

A Rock Hill man reported to police Friday that six guns - including an AR-15 machine gun - were stolen from his home after he invited a prostitute to his home whom he had met on the Internet.

The man, 52, told York County Sheriff’s Office deputies that a few days ago he contacted a woman using the Backpage Web site, and the woman came to his house on Hallmark Drive. The man told officers that once he realized the woman was a prostitute, he asked the woman to leave.

Yet for two days afterward, the man told officers, he received text messages asking if he was home or awake.

When the man came home from work Friday, he found a side door had been rammed, breaking the door frame. Besides a bag containing $50 in coins, the man told police that two rifles, three handguns, and the machine gun were stolen.
