Rock Hill Police have charged a man with the attempted armed robbery of a woman at a drive-through ATM.

Antonio Dontae Ross, 26, is charged with attempted armed robbery, attempted murder, possession of a pistol by a prohibited person and possession of a weapon during a violent crime, according to Rock Hill Police.

Ross was arrested at his home Thursday without incident. He is accused of trying to rob a woman at gunpoint while she used an ATM on Progress Way.

He is being held in the Rock Hill city jail, where he is awaiting a bond hearing Friday morning.

Detectives were able to make the identification and arrest from telephone tips that came in after the public saw the media coverage of the video and pictures that were provided by Family Trust.
