Report: Thieves steal new kitchen sink from Rock Hill home, leave used sink

A caretaker of a Rock Hill home reported to police Monday that unknown thieves stole the kitchen sink - then left an old sink in its place.

The person who reported the crime for the homeowner on Amelia Avenue told responding officers late Monday night that sometime between Sunday morning and Monday afternoon the unknown thieves broke into house through a back door. Once inside, a “nearly new” stainless steel kitchen sink an blue counter top valued at $200 each were stolen, but replaced with an older and used sink and counter.

Crime scene technicians found fingerprints, but no arrests have been made.
