Investigation continues in death of missing Chester woman found without clothes
No arrests have been made despite deputies in Chester continuing to interview a “person of interest” in the death investigation of a Chester woman found unclothed Sunday after she was reported missing hours earlier.
More, neither police nor coroner’s officials have commented yet on whether the death of Judy Lindsey, 51, could be a homicide.
Detectives are still working the case after there appeared to be a struggle at the woman’s home and Lindsey was found more than 200 feet away, said Chester County Sheriff’s Office Chief Deputy Robert Sprouse. No other details were released Tuesday.
Chester County Coroner’s Office officials also have declined to release specifics about the cause and manner of death, citing the ongoing police investigation that includes State Law Enforcement Division investigators.
“What we can confirm is that it is a suspicious death,” said Tommy Williams, deputy coroner.
Lindsey was found in the yard of a neighbor’s Fifth Street home Sunday several hours after family members told deputies she was missing.
