Officers charge juvenile with assault after fight at Rock Hill bus stop
A fight at school bus stop on Tuesday morning led to a juvenile being charged with assault by Rock Hill Police.
Officers spoke with the students involved at Dutchman Creek Middle School, according to the police report. The alleged assault occurred at the bus stop on Camellia Court.
The male student who was charged by police told officers that, while at the bus stop, several students told him another male student “was talking about him.” He then “jumped on” the victim and “knocked him to the ground,” the incident report states.
He reportedly then pushed the victim and hit him in the nose with his shoulder when the victim stood up.
The victim said several students at the bus stop told the suspect the victim was making fun of him, the police report states. But, he denied saying anything about the other student and claimed he was chased down and jumped on when he tried to run away.
The victim said he got on the bus and went to school. Police later charged one of the students and released him to his father.
