Police: Woman showed up drunk for Rock Hill municipal court
A woman was taken to jail after she showed up at Rock Hill Municipal Court intoxicated, according to a police report.
An Rock Hill police officer made contact with the 45-year-old woman in court on Wednesday because she appeared “grossly intoxicated,” the report states. She smelled of alcohol, had slurred speech and bloodshot eyes and was unsteady on her feet.
The woman, who lives in Rock Hill, was charged with disorderly conduct and taken to the city jail. The report doesn’t say why she was in court, but court records do not indicate she was appearing on pending criminal charges.
