Police in both Lancaster and York counties teamed up this week to arrest three people accused of a rash of vehicle break-ins near where Fort Mill, Indian Land, and Ballantyne merge, according to Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office officials.

The incidents all happened in the early morning hours Thursday after police responded to a break-in of a truck on Villa Walk Lane in the Bridgehampton neighborhood of Indian Land in Lancaster County. A garage door opener was taken and used to gain entry to another vehicle, police said. Subsequent thefts included stolen cash, credit cards, a knife, and other items, and the stolen card was used at a store, police said.

Police in Lancaster finally used surveillance video to find one man, Tony Eugene Maynard, 21, of Fort Mill, sheriff’s officials said. Officers in the Town of Fort Mill, just east of the crime scenes, located Tyler Mitchell Fesperman, 20 of Rock Hill, and Nora-Logan Duncan, 19, of Rock Hill, in Maynard’s vehicle, police said.

All three will face six counts of breaking into a motor vehicle, Lancaster deputies said in a statement.

Fesperman remains in the York County jail on a hold for the Lancaster charges, plus receiving stolen goods, drug possession, and giving false information, according to the York County Sheriff’s Office Web site.
