Rock Hill family not injured after early Sunday morning shooting

Detectives are investigating a Sunday shooting after a Rock Hill family reported at least 10 gun shots outside their home – with some bullets striking the house, according to police.

No one was injured, police records state. Authorities say the incident – classified as an attempted murder case on Rock Hill Police records – happened around 3:40 a.m. Sunday on Monroe Street.

The home is located in southern Rock Hill, near Saluda Street, close to the city’s limits.

Officers who responded say several neighbors called 911 after hearing shots fired. They discovered several bullets struck the home’s rear, a back door, and struck the first and second floors of the home, according to the police incident report. There were 10 people inside the home at the time.

No suspects had been named by Monday morning. Rock Hill Police says the case is active.
