Rock Hill woman arrested after box cutter assault on boyfriend
A man was transported to a hospital after his girlfriend cut him multiple times with a box cutter during an argument, according to Rock Hill Police.
Officers responded to a stabbing on the 700 block of Carolina Avenue about 8:50 p.m. Thursday and found the victim bleeding from lacerations on his arms and back and a bite mark on his left bicep, according to a police report.
He told police he and his girlfriend, 25-year-old Brittany Lashon McCoy, were arguing on the front porch of the home when she “became violent” and cut him several times with a box cutter, the report states.
Someone had apparently given McCoy a ride to Green Street after the assault, and officers found her walking on the sidewalk of Carolina Avenue and arrested her, police said. They found an orange box cutter near where McCoy was arrested that matched the description of the box cutter her boyfriend said she used to cut him.
The victim was taken by EMS to Piedmont Medical Center for treatment.
McCoy was charged with criminal domestic violence of a high and aggravated nature and placed in the Rock Hill city jail, where she remained Friday under $2,000 bond.
