Two people were charged this weekend in connection with an armed robbery outside a Rock Hill gas station, according to Rock Hill Police.

The robbery happened at about 11 a.m. Saturday at the QuikTrip on Celanese Road, according to a police report. The 23-year-old victim told officers he was supposed to meet Kayce Thompson, 20, at the gas station for a ride.

Thompson pulled up to the victim, and Tevin Joseph, 20, jumped out of the pickup and robbed him at gunpoint and knifepoint in the parking lot, police said. Joseph took the victim’s duffel bag containing clothing and a cellphone, and the two left in a gray pickup.

The victim told officers Joseph covered his face with bandanas, and that the two suspects may be heading to their home on Joshs Court. Officers searched that area with negative results, but as they were leaving, they saw a pickup matching the description of the one from the robbery pulling into the driveway, police said. Officers transported the two back to the gas station, where the victim identified them as the suspects.

The bandanas and knife were found on Joseph but a firearm was not, police said. He also had a Taser and brass knuckles

Joseph and Thompson were each charged with armed robbery and criminal conspiracy, and are also facing drug charges.

Joseph remained jailed at the York County Detention Center on Monday under $5,000 bond, and Thompson remained jailed under $35,000 bond.
