Building materials reported stolen from Habitat for Humanity site in Rock Hill
Rock Hill Police are investigating the theft of building materials from a Habitat for Humanity site this week.
The construction manager for the site, which is on the 500 block of Arch Drive, told officers Thursday the crew recently began construction on the site for a family in need.
Thursday morning, they realized building materials had been stolen from the site, including 15 foot-long boards underneath a box truck, four sheets of OSB sheeting leaning against the truck and an exterior door, police said.
The manager said the materials were there when he left Wednesday evening but were missing Thursday morning, the report states. A neighbor said he heard noise at the site between 2 and 3 a.m. Thursday, but none of the neighbors could provide any vehicle or suspect information.
The report did not indicate a cost for the materials.
