Two people are facing drug charges after they were found to be carrying methamphetamine and heroin at a Rock Hill motel, according to a city police report.

Allison Jane Blanton, 29, and Kevin O’Brian Vaughn, 33, both face charges of possession of methamphetamine, possession of heroin with intent to distribute, and property damage, according to the report.

Blanton also faces a charge of possession of drug contraband.

Officers were called to the Wingate Inn on Galleria Boulevard at 1:26 p.m. on Sunday, after receiving complaints of drug use in the parking lot. Police found a vehicle matching the description, with Blanton seated inside and Vaughn apparently loading items into the trunk.

Blanton allowed the officers to search the motel room, where they found damage to the walls valued at about $200, as well as a number of hypodermic needles. Officers also uncovered less than a gram of packaged meth and more than two grams of heroin wrapped into nine bindles with blue painter’s tape, the report states.

Also found were two electronic scales, one reportedly in Vaughn’s backpack and another in Blanton’s purse, along with a pack of decongestant pills and aspirin powder investigators believe were used to manufacture the drug.

A witness also turned over a cell phone photo of Blanton reportedly injecting herself with a needle while seated in the car in the parking lot. When Blanton was booked into the city jail, a search of her person also reportedly uncovered another five bindles of heroin totaling more than a gram.
