Rock Hill woman robbed at gunpoint in car
Rock Hill Police are investigating the armed robbery of a woman Monday, allegedly by her cousin.
The robbery happened about 4:45 p.m. on the 1300 block of Constitution Boulevard, according to a police report. The victim, who was “extremely distraught and hard to understand,” said her cousin robbed her at gunpoint of about $250 cash.
But the victim couldn’t remember her cousin’s last name. She was riding with him in a car when he pulled a gun on her, police said. She jumped out of the car and another motorist picked her up.
The victim told police she and several other unknown people were at a home on the 100 block of Westerwood Drive before she called law enforcement. Officers went to the home and found an abandoned house with the front door open.
The case remains under investigation.
