Police: Clover man charged with child endangerment

A Clover man was charged with two counts of child endangerment Friday after police arrested him on charges of driving under the influence while the man had two young children in the vehicle with him, Clover police said.

Leon Adrian Miles, 59, was arrested Friday afternoon on the charge of driving under the influence when officers found Miles in the parking area of a store after restaurant employees at the KFC/Taco Bell restaurant called police, said Capt. David Dover of the Clover Police Department. Two minor children were in the vehicle, Dover said.

Miles failed field sobriety tests, Dover said. The children were placed in the custody of relatives, Dover said.
