Report: Multiple gunshots fired into Rock Hill home

A Rock Hill home was shot into multiple times while the owner was away, according to the York County Sheriff’s Office.

The shooting happened late Saturday at a home on Gatsby Circle in Rock Hill, according to an incident report. The homeowner had been away, and when he returned home Sunday, found several bullet holes in the house.

Deputies say they found nine bullet holes that were “shot with an inconsistent pattern,” five of which went through the home’s first floor and damaged the walls and a picture. Two more bullets came through the wall near the staircase.

A single spent round was found on the floor inside a bedroom and another was found on top of the shower in the bathroom, deputies said. A neighbor told officers they heard gunshots just before midnight Saturday that they described as “rapid gunfire.”

No arrests have been made.
