Report: Shot fired at York home tore through fence, drywall and washing machine
Deputies say a bullet caused more than $2,000 worth of damage at a man’s home in York this week after someone shot at the house, sending a bullet through an outside fence, through drywall and through the glass area of a washing machine in the man’s laundry room.
The man reported the damage to the York County Sheriff’s Office on Thursday, according to police records. The incident happened either Wednesday or Thursday, he told deputies.
Deputies questioned the man’s neighbors but made no arrests.
The bullet was found inside the washing machine, according to the sheriff’s office. The man estimates the damage to be about $2,300, including the washing machine now unusable and part of the home’s interior and exterior damaged.
