Lake Wylie man charged with sexually assaulting teen boy
A Lake Wylie man was charged this week with sexually assaulting a 15-year-old boy, according to the York County Sheriff’s Office.
Jaime Lee Martinez, 26, was charged with two counts of second-degree criminal sexual conduct with a minor, according to jail records. He remained in the York County Detention Center on Thursday under $100,000 bond.
Lancaster police in September contacted York County authorities about a 15-year-old boy whom Martinez had reportedly sexually assaulted at his home in Lake Wylie, according to a sheriff’s report. Investigators in Lancaster said the 15-year-old victim was also a suspect in another sexual assault they were investigating.
York County’s investigation stalled in early October after investigators couldn’t get in touch with the 15-year-old victim’s mother, the report states. She contacted detectives in late October and said they wished to continue with the investigation.
Martinez was arrested Monday, according to jail records.
