A Rock Hill man was arrested Monday in connection with a September shooting during which another man was shot in the leg, according to Rock Hill Police.

James Robinson, 30, was charged with attempted murder and possession of a weapon during a violent crime, according to jail records. He was placed in the Rock Hill city jail without bond.

Robinson and the 38-year-old victim were at a friend’s home on the 100 block of Highland Street about 5 p.m. Sept. 6 when the two started arguing, according to a police report. During the argument, Robinson pulled out a 9 mm handgun and shot the victim in the upper left thigh, police say.

Robinson fled, and K-9 trackers were requested to search for him, police said. Capt. Mark Bollinger, a police spokesman, said officers arrested Robinson Monday at an apartment on Glenarden Drive.
