Rock Hill motel clerk robbed by man who jumped counter

The clerk at the Days Inn motel in Rock Hill was robbed Wednesday morning, police said.

The suspect went into the lobby of the motel located on Riverview Road near Exit 82 of Interstate 77 before 6 a.m. and told the clerk he had a gun, although it was not shown. He jumped the counter, took cash and then fled on foot, according to Rock Hill Police.

Officers have been on scene since the crime happened but have not made an arrest.
