York man claims ski-mask robbers pistol-whipped, took $1,200

A York man told police this week he was pistol-whipped and robbed of $1,200 thatfamily members said people knew the victim carried.

The victim and his girlfriend told police of the assault and robbery on Marvin Circle. A man dressed inblack with gloves and ski mask got out of a car and hit him, while another masked man stole the money and his cellphone. Two more robbers stood guard, according to a police report.

Family members told York Police Department officers that people know that the victim, 43, carries the large sum of money with him and that the victim continued to do so despite repeated warnings from family.
