Lancaster homeowner hurt in fight with intruder, police search for suspect

Police in Lancaster County are searching for a break-in suspect who was surprised by an equally shocked homeowner Thursday morning, according to police.

In the incident on Rolling Hills Road south of the city of Lancaster that police are calling a burglary/home invasion, the homeowner and suspect surprised each other and briefly tussled before the suspect fled, according to Doug Barfield, a spokesman for the Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office.

The homeowner suffered minor injuries, Barfield said.

No weapons were reported to be used.
