Murder trial begins for Lancaster man accused of strangling woman

The Lancaster man accused of strangling a woman to death in 2012 is scheduled for trial this week.

Terry Catoe, 43, is charged with murder in the February 2012 death of Linda Gaymon. Catoe has been free on $50,000 bond since late 2012, court records show.

Gaymon was found dead inside a dilapidated home on Starnes Street in the Brooklyn Avenue area of Lancaster. The cause of death was determined to be asphyxiation.

Pretrial hearings and jury selection are set for Monday with testimony scheduled for Tuesday.
