Clover man accused of assaulting woman with special needs, exposing himself
A 79-year-old Clover man was charged Tuesday with fondling a woman with special needs and exposing himself, according to the York County Sheriff’s Office.
Jackie Joel Porter, 79, of Sentinel Oaks Drive, was charged with second-degree assault and battery and exposure of private parts in a lewd manner, according to jail records.
The alleged assault happened Nov. 25, according to a sheriff’s report. The victim, who has special needs, told her parents that Porter “touched me and rubbed me down there.” When asked what she meant, the woman lifted up her skirt “and repeated the statement and action.”
The victim told deputies Porter touched her inappropriately under her clothes and also exposed himself to her. After an investigation, he was arrested and booked at the York County Detention Center, where he remained Wednesday on a $10,000 bond.
