Rock Hill ex-con sentenced to 8 years prison for cocaine trafficking, guns

A convicted drug felon from Rock Hill has been sentenced to eight years in prison after pleading guilty to cocaine trafficking and weapons charges.

Demario Jamel Cunningham, 30, pleaded guilty Tuesday after a trial started, said Leslie Robinson, 16th Circuit assistant solicitor.

Court records show Cunningham has previous drug conviction from 2003 for cocaine, and other drugs, as well as possession of a stolen vehicle from when he was a teenager. In that set of 2003 crimes Cunnigham was sentenced to three years in prison.
