York County home burglarized, damaged with spray paint
A Sharon home was burglarized and vandalized this week, the third such incident at that home in the past year, according to the York County Sheriff’s Office.
The burglary was reported Sunday at a home on the 1800 block of Thompson Quarters Road, according to a sheriff’s report. The homeowner said he came home after being gone for about three hours and saw the front door open.
Deputies say it appears the suspect first tried entering through another door by beating the door knob with a brick from a flower bed, then throwing the brick through a window. The front door had been unlocked and opened using a credit card.
Several electronic items were stolen, including three televisions, a sound bar and a video game system, deputies said. Parts of the home were also damaged with red spray paint, including in the living room where profanity had been written on the wall in red spray paint.
Deputies found two plastic bags with red paint on them along Thompson Quarters Road, one of which contained a spray can. The homeowners told deputies this is the third time their home has been burglarized or vandalized in the past year.
The report did not indicate any possible suspects.
