Suspect nabbed in 2012 armed robbery at Rock Hill hotel
Rock Hill police have arrested a 44-year-old man in connection with a 2012 armed robbery at the Hampton Inn.
Phillip Eugene Honeycutt was charged with armed robbery in the May 8, 2012, incident.
He is accused of robbing the hotel of $371 in cash along with Ronnie Eugene Duncan, 51, who was previously charged with armed robbery in the case, according to police reports.
A clerk told police that one man entered the hotel lobby and demanded cash, a report states. The suspect kept his hands hidden but acted as if he carried a gun.
Honeycutt had previously served prison time in South Carolina and was recently arrested in Pickens County, police said. He was turned over to Rock Hill police after he finished serving time in Pickens County.
