Shoplifters swipe 45 bottles of perfume from Rock Hill store

MCT

Three people took more than four dozen bottles of perfume from a Rock Hill store Friday, according to police.

Officers went to J.C. Penney on Dave Lyle Boulevard at about 8:20 p.m. Friday after two men and a woman took about 45 bottles of assorted fragrances, according to a police report. The woman distracted the cashier while the men concealed the items in their pockets and left the store without paying for them.

Store management provided officers with surveillance footage, but investigators said the quality was not good enough to get a clear picture of the thieves.

The report does not indicate a value for the stolen fragrances.
