Police: Rock Hill man stabbed in argument over ‘disrespect’
Police in Rock Hill are looking for a man who allegedly stabbed another man after an argument over someone’s being “disrespectful,” according to Rock Hill police and an incident report.
The victim, 51, was stabbed in the abdomen at a home on Lucky Court and suffered serious injuries that are not believed to be life-threatening. The assault happened at about 7 p.m. Monday, said Capt. Mark Bollinger, spokesman for the Rock Hill Police Department.
The suspect, Denzel Boozer, 23, is wanted on warrants for attempted murder and possession of a weapon during a violent crime, police said. Boozer has what police call “distinctive scars and tattoos on his face.”
The victim told police Monday night the two began arguing after Boozer had been disrespectful to family members while at his grandmother’s house. Boozer stabbed the man in the left side of his stomach, a police report states, then threatened him with a gun, saying, “I will do you right now.”
Anyone who knows Boozer’s location is asked to call York County Crimestoppers at 877-409-4321.
