Report: Rock Hill woman finds ex-boyfriend hiding in her back seat

A Rock Hill woman told deputies she found her ex-boyfriend hiding in the back seat of her car two days after they broke up, according to the York County Sheriff’s Office.

The incident was reported Tuesday at the victim’s employer on Springhill Farm Road, according to a sheriff’s report. She told deputies she and her boyfriend broke up Sunday, and that she found him hiding in the back seat of her car when she went to leave work Tuesday.

The victim said she saw someone had moved her child’s seat and was lying underneath it in an attempt to hide in her back seat, deputies said. She went inside to alert her supervisor, who came out with a security officer.

The security officer got the suspect out of the car and took him to the front gate to call law enforcement, the report states. The suspect took off on foot before deputies arrived.

Deputies spoke by phone with the suspect, who said he was “just trying to surprise” his ex-girlfriend, the report states. He wanted to “go out and grab something to eat before going home with her.”

No charges were filed. The suspect was told to stay away from the property.
