ATM stolen from Rock Hill hotel

Police are searching for two men who took an ATM from the lobby of a Rock Hill hotel.

The theft happened about 10:45 a.m. Monday at the Marriott Courtyard on River Run Court, according to a police report.

A hotel employee told officers one of the suspects came to the front desk and was asking questions while the other “wheeled the ATM from the lobby out of the back door.” The suspects fled in a burnt orange Jeep in an unknown direction.

The hotel received a call from National ATM Systems shortly after the theft, and a representative told hotel management that similar incidents have taken place with their machines in Richland County, the report states. Hotel staff told officers surveillance was not available.

The suspects are described as two black males. One was wearing glasses, a red hoodie, light colored baggy pants, a dark green sock hat and had gold teeth, police said. The second suspect was wearing a big coat with a yellow hoodie underneath.
