A Rock Hill man was charged with domestic violence Tuesday after police found a small child next to a gun on a sofa after the man allegedly pointed the weapon at and threatened to shoot his girlfriend, according to a police report.

The girlfriend fled to a store, and there an officer was told by an ambulance driver that a woman sitting in her car at the store claimed she had been beaten and threatened. The woman told officers Ydieu Eban, 31, dragged her around the living room, punched her and grabbed her neck, the report states.

Eban then allegedly gave the gun to the victim’s 5-year-old son and told the boy to shoot his mother, police said.

Police went to the home and when arresting Eban found and a small child sitting on a sofa next to a handgun. Police seized the weapon.
