Kershaw man arrested in connection to 3 Lancaster Co. burglaries
A 52-year-old man is facing charges related to three separate burglaries in recent weeks.
Michael Lindsey Faile of Kershaw was arrested Thursday on charges of first-degree burglary, receiving stolen goods third offense and petty larceny third offense.
On Feb. 19, a break-in was reported at a home on Three Cs Road. A TV, a bass guitar and about $100.00 in change were reported stolen. Officers found a window screen had been removed from a back window, but it appears the home was forcefully entered by the back door, according to a press release from the Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office.
On Fbe. 26, an air compressor had been stolen out of the bed of a truck parked at a home on White Street.
On March 1, another break-in occurred at a home on Croxton Road. The responding deputy saw a broken window on the side of the home and found a rock which had apparently been thrown through it in the living room. Two TVs were stolen from the home.
Investigators were able to place Faile at the scene of each break-in, and also recovered some of the stolen items from someone who told investigators he got the items from Faile, investigators say.
After Faile was taken into custody, bond was denied on the burglary charge by a magistrate judge on Friday.
Lancaster County Sheriff Barry Faile said Michael Faile (no relation) is also being investigated in connection to other burglaries in both Lancaster and Kershaw counties. Other charges may result.
“We are continuing to investigate unsolved cases, and we have several items of property recovered from Faile which we hope to associate with some of those cases,” Sheriff Faile said.
