A York woman is accused of stabbing her boyfriend in the back during an argument, according to the York County Sheriff’s Office.
Lawana Mobley Hickel, 40, of Springlake Road was charged with criminal domestic violence of a high and aggravated nature, according to a sheriff’s report. She was placed in the York County Detention Center and released Thursday under $15,000 bond, according to jail records.
Authorities responded to a stabbing at a home on the 400 block of Springlake Road about 10:40 p.m. Tuesday, according to the report. The victim said he and his girlfriend, Hickel, were arguing over “infidelity issues” when she picked up what he believed to be a kitchen knife and stabbed him in the back.
Hickel then fled on foot, deputies said. Two witnesses inside the home at the time said they heard Hickel and the victim arguing before he yelled, “She stabbed me.”
Hickel was found hiding in the woods behind the home, deputies said. The victim was taken to Piedmont Medical Center for treatment.
