A Papa John’s pizza delivery employee says he was robbed at gunpoint by three hooded men, one of whom had a shotgun, according to Rock Hill Police.
The robbery happened just after 1 a.m. Saturday, according to a police report. The victim said he was delivering an order to a home, and when he pulled in front of the house he saw three men standing in the driveway with hoodies on. The hoods were pulled tight and concealing their faces.
The victim told police he asked the men if they ordered a pizza, and they said no. One of the suspects asked the victim to make change for $20, and the victim said he’d have to go back to the store to do that, police said. The suspect in a red hoodie then pulled what appeared to be a sawed off shotgun from under his shirt and pointed it at the victim.
The suspect ordered the victim to put the pizza and money on the ground, police said. The victim said as soon as he did that, the suspects picked it up and fled on foot.
A K-9 unit was called to assist but was unsuccessful in locating the suspects.
