Police have arrested a third person in connection with a mob assault on a woman at a Rock Hill home last week, according to law enforcement records.

Markeia Agers, 24, was arrested Thursday and charged with assault and battery by mob and intimidation of a witness, according to jail records.

Agers is one of several women accused of assaulting a woman during a party at a home on Green Street on March 19, according to a police report. The victim in that case said Ronald Michael Smith Jr. entered the home uninvited with several women and became belligerent when asked to leave.

Smith, 28, told the victim “she is responsible for him losing his guns, money and drugs when she reported a previous incident,” the report states. Smith then reportedly told the women to “beat her.” The victim said several women assaulted her.

The victim had several minor injuries, including a bump on her forehead, police said. Justice Clark, 22, has already been charged in connection with the assault.

Smith is jailed on multiple charges in connection with the assault and a shooting that happened hours earlier on Jefferson Avenue.
