Report: Used needles, marijuana cigarettes found at Rock Hill boat landing

A passerby found multiple used syringes and marijuana cigarettes at a Rock Hill boat landing this week, according to the York County Sheriff’s Office.

A deputy responded to the 1100 block of Charley Horse Road about 7:50 p.m. Wednesday, according to a sheriff’s report. The complainant told the officer she was at the boat landing when she discovered multiple used needles and marijuana roaches in the area.

The deputy put the needles in a sharps container and destroyed the cigarettes, the report states. The complainant said there are multiple vehicles that come and go from the area “at all times of the night.”

Graffiti spray painted on the bridge at the river appeared to be gang-related, deputies say. No arrests have been made.
