2 injured in Rock Hill shootings

Police were investigating a shooting early Monday on Riverview Road in Rock Hill in which a woman was injured, according to a report.

Officers responded to the incident at 1391 Riverview Road at 12:45 a.m. Monday and made contact with a man, but they were unable to learn what happened because of a language barrier, the report said.

The female victim, who had a gunshot wound, was with three small children in a front bedroom of the apartment, the report said. Emergency Medical Services responded and transported the woman for treatment, the report said.

Additional details about the incident were not available.

In an unrelated incident at 4:44 a.m. Friday, police received a report of a shooting in the 1600 block of Cherry Road. The victim, who later sought medical treatment, told police he was driving his car near a 7-Eleven and heard two shots fired and that one of the shots hit him in the foot.

The victim later reported that he was shot in the parking lot of an apartment complex, not on the street, the report said. Police said further information about the incident was not available because the victim was receiving pain medication, the report said.

Both incidents are under investigation.
