Rock Hill girl breaks ice cream truck window with rock

Somebody really wanted some ice cream Thursday, and it got the attention of the police.

Rock Hill police were called to Lige Street shortly after 6 p.m. after the driver of an ice cream truck said a young girl cracked his window when he refused to give her free ice cream.

As he was driving away, the driver says a rock struck his rear windshield and left a crack in the plastic covering. He could see the girl standing behind him in his rear view mirror.

The driver couldn’t provide police with a last name or address for the child, but told them she was “the only child on Lige St. in all purple,” according to the police report.

The suspect has not been apprehended as of press time.
