Police: Rock Hill McDonald’s drive-through robber wielded a knife

A McDonald’s employee in Rock Hill reported to police a knife-wielding man robbed the restaurant Sunday night at the drive-up window.

Rock Hill police responded to the restaurant at the corner of Mt. Gallant and Celanese roads Sunday night around 10:30 p.m. An employee told officers that the man walked up to the drive-up window while shielding his identity with a towel over his head and a long-sleeved hoodie, according to a police report.

A manager told officers that $905.70 was stolen from the register, the report states. K-9 and other investigators were dispatched to the scene, but no arrests have been made.
